Hank Aaron is a good person at heart. He is always thinking about his parents and about all his family back in Mobile, Alabama. Aaron has been mentioned with BIG names in the majors that are actually making him get noticed. His name has been mentioned for the highest honor in Baseball, the MVP award. Hank actually had a point in his career where he went to the Homerun Derby and won money for himself. With the money he won, he bought his family a store back in Toulminville and a color TV for the house in Mequon. Racism is really taking advantage of Hank Aarons career at some extend because people are threaten players because they are black.
“Nigger, if you play in that game tonight, I’ll blow your brains out” (Aaron152). This quote really stands out to me in a LARGE way. How can white men, pop out of no where and put a shotgun to a baseball players head and say that? Its amazing how Hank Aaron can go through such adversity and still have a great career.
